The Wheel That Never Stops

The Human Realm Is Special
Buddhism teaches that the human realm is the best position for achieving enlightenment:
- Heaven is too comfortable — no motivation to improve
- Hell is too painful — no capacity to reflect
- Human life has the perfect balance of suffering and capability
This is why rebirth as a human is considered precious.
Karma and Rebirth
What determines your next life:
- Intentional actions (body, speech, mind) accumulate karma
- Good actions push you toward higher realms
- Bad actions push you toward lower realms
- The moment of death is crucial — your mental state affects rebirth
- Merit transfer — the living can help the dead through offerings and prayers

- Journey to the West: The characters travel through all six realms
- Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils: The title itself refers to the asura realm
- Ghost stories: Often feature souls trapped between realms
- Cultivation fiction: Cultivators seek to escape the reincarnation cycle entirely
